50th Graduation Anniversary Class Gift
Aloha Classmates,
I hope this message finds you and your families well as we begin 2026. I am writing to provide an essential update on the status of our class trust fund gift to Saint Louis School.
To date, our collective efforts have brought our trust balance to $44,500. While this is a milestone to be proud of, we have reached a critical juncture in our commitment to the school and its future.
Our Mandatory Milestone: $50,000 by 2029
To fulfill our formal obligation and ensure our class gift is fully activated for its intended impact, it is mandatory that we reach the $50,000 threshold by 2029. We currently have a gap of $5,500 to close over the next three years to meet this requirement.
Going Well Beyond the Goal
While $50,000 is our required minimum, our true ambition is to go well beyond that number. Reaching the mandatory goal is just the starting point; exceeding it allows us to leave a truly transformative legacy for the young men of Kalaepōhaku. By pushing past our target, we ensure that Saint Louis remains a leader in STEM, athletics, and faith-based education for generations to come.
When our funds are activated, we will have a voice in how they are utilized and can support several critical areas:
-
Campus Legacy: Supporting the ongoing modernization and maintenance of our campus facilities, ensuring that the learning environment remains worthy of the Crusader brotherhood.
-
Tuition Assistance: Providing vital aid to families as the financial aid application window is now open for the next academic year.
-
Global Leadership: Supporting a STEM and Robotics program that is currently ranked 16th in the world.
Quarterly Progress Updates:
To keep everyone informed and motivated, we plan to send out quarterly updates showing our financial progress as we move closer to our 2029 deadline. We want to be transparent about where we stand and celebrate each step toward exceeding our goal.
How You Can Help:
To ensure we meet our mandatory $50,000 goal and begin our push to exceed it, please consider making a contribution today. You can donate directly through the Saint Louis School Giving Portal or contact the Development Team at development@saintlouishawaii.org.
Important Instructions for Donating:
-
Designation: In the drop-down box, you must select “Class Contribution”. In the comments box, you must insert "Class of 1979 Trust Fund" to ensure the funds are credited to our specific account.
-
Monthly Giving: If you prefer to donate a smaller amount over time, please consider checking the "Recurring Gift" box. This is an excellent way to help us steadily march toward our 2029 goal.
Please also note that all donations to Saint Louis School are tax deductible.
Thank you for your continued commitment to the brotherhood and for ensuring our class legacy is as strong as it can possibly be.
Mahalo,
